Last evening (April 30) I paddled on Green Bay with kayaker friends Mike Stone and Jacob Tarlton. We wanted to paddle around the last big ice sheet remaining on the bay — right in front of my house — which required launching at Volks Landing down the street and paddling back to my place. Soon we heard the buzz of a tiny flying robot and I knew it was my neighbor’s eye in the sky. I’m so glad we got out there yesterday because today the ice is gone; pushed away by strong south winds and 75⁰ air temperatures. Thanks, David Troup, for the beautiful drone footage! And welcome, spring!
